The Art of G.O.O.D. Fridays

November 14, 2010

Starting some weeks ago, Kanye announced G.O.O.D. Fridays in which he released a new song available for download every friday until Christmas. I loved the cover art for the singles so much I’ve compiled them here. I’ll continue to add upcoming artwork to this post as they come out. I know it isn’t New Years yet but I’m gonna make an early resolution for 2011 and that is try to go five posts without having one be about Kanye West.(Right now it’s tough as his album is coming out in two weeks you see)

Everybody Nose Remix Video by CRS

August 8, 2008

The first unofficial Child Rebel Soldier video? “Everybody Nose(Remix)” video directed by Hype Williams. I like the 8-bit retro video game theme with the Donkey Kong and Galaga backgrounds. Lu and Pusha both have their lyrical prowess on display here while Ye and Pharrell simply overwhelm the track by their sheer egotistical presence. Check out the cameo by Nigo, who is the unofficial silent 4th member of CRS…..kidding.

I want that Trilly And Truly crewneck.

Everybody Nose Remix

May 13, 2008

I wonder who was on production duties on this remix? I can’t pinpoint it. Doesn’t sound like Ye, I can hear traces of Timbo and The Neptunes though. I don’t know. I like this remix just because I’m fiending for anything CRS related. Pusha T’s flow is very fresh.

“Everybody Nose” (Remix) by N.E.R.D. Feat. Kanye, Lupe + Pusha T:

Paris, Tokyo

April 14, 2008

What do you get when you mix tailored suits, camels and Goyard luggage that costs more than your life? Lu’s “Paris, Tokyo” video, that’s what. Enjoy it folks cause here we have what will most likely be the last video from The Cool and unless a Child Rebel Soldier album comes to fruition, you’ll have to wait quite awhile for LUPEnd for some substantial Lupe material.

Not my favorite from the album(that title belongs to “Gold Watch”) but a nice track and a good choice for a single. The video is alright, I like it, it fits the song. I was hoping maybe we would get some street wear cameos(Big-O, Le Messie, Edison Chen) but sadly none to be seen. And is it just me or does this beat sound very Tribe Called Quest-ish?
